Cheek and chin implants

A small chin may cause a problem in the balance of the most proportional face. A protruding nose will appear even larger if accompanied by a receding chin. Flat cheekbones will make a large nose stand out even more and a small chin will appear even smaller. Modification of certain parts of facial skeleton can significantly improve general balance and beauty of the face. We can help you decide which part it could be.
A receding chin and flat cheekbones can be easily improved with implants made of materials used for medical purposes. After insertion they look and feel like normal bones. The number of various synthetic materials available increases every year. We always use materials of proven durability and safety tested throughout years of use!
Chin implants
In order to insert the implant a small incision is made just under the chin area. The implant is inserted into place and the incision is closed. The procedure takes approximately thirty minutes and can be carried out under local anaesthetic. You can go home after a few hours. This surgery can be easily combined with removal of fatty tissue from under the chin. The procedure is called submental lipectomy and allows eliminating "turkey neck" or double chin.
Cheek implants
The implants are inserted without the need for external incisions. A small incision is made just above the upper gum and the implant is inserted into a small pocket above the cheekbone. Regardless of the type of imperfection of your cheeks or chin an appropriate cosmetic surgery procedure can deliver long-term improvements in the balance of your facial features.
Procedure
Removal of unwanted fat deposits from the cheeks is a solution for making lower parts of the face look slimmer. Some people have rounded lower parts of cheeks and would prefer that part of their face to look slimmer. If you suck your cheeks in, you can see what the effects are going to be like and you can decide whether you like the improved look.
A small incision is made on the inside of your mouth and the fatty tissue responsible for the rounded effect is removed. No incisions are made on the face. Recovery takes a couple of days; there will be minimal swelling and no bruising.
Risk and complications
Every surgery carries some risk. In order to minimise any possible risk of complications, you must provide the surgeon with all details relating to your health, especially if you smoke, are on medication or have undergone a surgery in or around the area which is to be operated upon. You can minimise the risk significantly by choosing a well-qualified and experienced plastic surgeon and by strictly following their advice before and after the surgery. Although currently all plastic surgery procedures are very safe, your surgeon will discuss any possible, although unlikely, complications in connection with your treatment.
