Sculptra

Sculptra contains poly-l-lactic acid which is also an ingredient of sutures used in surgical procedures.
A bottle of Sculptra is mixed one day before the treatment. The face is anaesthetised and then the product is injected into the hollow areas of the face - cheeks, temples, eyebrows and sides. Sculptra can also be used to form the jaw line and improve facial contours. It works similar to sowed seeds. The patient is given injections and the immediate effect is spectacular. The next day the volume decreases. Within the next few weeks and months the body begins to stimulate collagen production in response to those „seeds”.
The patient can see gradual improvement of the saggy or hollow areas. Often two or three sessions are required.
Risk and complications
Every surgery carries some risk. In order to minimise any possible risk of complications, you must provide the surgeon with all details relating to your health, especially if you smoke, are on medication or have undergone a surgery in or around the area which is to be operated upon. You can minimise the risk significantly by choosing a well-qualified and experienced plastic surgeon and by strictly following their advice before and after the surgery. Although currently all plastic surgery procedures are very safe, your surgeon will discuss any possible, although unlikely, complications in connection with your treatment.
